New to the Nest - July 8, 2012

Welcome to New to the Nest, now appearing on a new day.  I decided to separate it from Owl Tell You All About It simply because it is easier for me to get all of my books into the post, including Saturday late-comers (our mail runs fairly late in the afternoon).  Feel free to comment and leave a link to your own book haul posts.  I'll do my best to return all visits (I promise, I'm trying to get better at it).

It's been a pretty low-key week, mail-wise.  If I'm honest, part of me is relieved by that.  I have a lot of books to get through already!  I did get a few great books, though.  My Ambuzzador kit arrived on Monday, several Netgalley requests finally came through, and I had the chance to go to dinner with Hannah from The Book Vortex (my friend and partner in writing crime), Kelly Simmon (InkSlinger PR), Amanda Havard (author of The Survivors series), and Kallie from Bookshelf Banter on Friday, which was so much fun.  These ladies are absolutely hilarious and should not be missed!

  5. It was really good! Watch The Notebook and you'll easily be able to picture people's appearances when the clothing is described. Loved that!
